Jennifer came to us after attending Shawnee State University in Ohio. She had spent 8 years
traveling the world and lived in places such as Hawaii, Arkansas and Georgia. Although born in Ohio (Go Buckeyes!!), Jennifer spent her childhood on the west coast of Florida which is what brought her back to the laid back, tropical lifestyle in 2005 where she began her veterinary career here at My Pet’s Animal Hospital

As Director of Operations, Jennifer uses her background in Marketing, Business Management as well as her Professional in Human Resources to handle My Pet’s Animal Hospital and Sarasota Animal Hospital’s every need. Regularly, she travels between the 2 hospitals so that she ensures that both hospital’s run smoothly.

She was presented with the Hill’s Veterinary Nutritional Award in 2010, the Golden Garland Award for Community Service, the Brighthouse Regional Small Business Award as well as the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce Small Business Award. She is a Chairperson for Florida One Blood, a member of the Florida Association of Veterinary Practice Managers, a member of the Veterinary Healthcare Managers Association as well as the American Animal Hospital Association. She has worked as a Veterinary Technician with a special interest in dermatology and laboratory technology. Jennifer is also active in the Lakeland community working with McKeel Academy of Technology and George Jenkins High School as our Volunteer and Intern Coordinator, an active participant with The American Heart Association as well as Girls, Inc. by serving each year at special events. Jennifer’s love for the Lakeland community and both of the hospital’s that she works for is very well known by everyone who she works with as well as those who serve the community alongside her.

Jennifer never stops learning, she attends many seminars and conferences throughout the state of Florida such as the NAVC, the FVMA, The Veterinary Practice Management Seminar as well as The Gulf Atlantic Veterinary Conference. She also never stops attending online classes and workshops. “You never stop learning something new each day in the veterinary field. Every day brings something new that we have never encountered, this is why I love the veterinary field…” Jennifer brings her passion of positive empowerment and achievement (through the readings of author Stephen R. Covey, one of her favorite authors) to the employees here at My Pet’s Animal Hospital and Sarasota Animal Hospital with her training techniques and management style.

Jennifer is a very proud Wingmom to her son who is currently serving in the United States Air Force. She has a Cavalier King Charles named Lexi as well and twin male white Turkish Angora cats name Andy and Oliver.
